Tell us about your business.

RentMyRide is South Africa’s first peer-to-peer car rental company. Globally peer-to-peer car sharing is a success and it is now also taking off in Africa. Our aim is to provide a sustainable and accessible solution for people to get around in South Africa while supporting the shared and local economy. Our concept is based on the success stories “Turo” in USA and “Snappcar” in Europe.

How did you get the idea for your business?

I was on a sabbatical here in South Africa and met the founder of RentMyRide. Since the concept of peer-to-peer car rental is big in Europe and USA I thought it would be interesting to join this venture. Besides, the mission of RentMyRide aligns with my values.
