Try to describe yourself in 3 words only.
Driven, competitive, ‘family-man’
Where did you get the entrepreneurial spirit?
My family instilled a strong work-ethic in me from a young age, which I correlate directly to my drive and desire to create.
How have your entrepreneurial motivations changed since you first started?
I have become more analytical and less impulsive. I still feel strongly for ideas or concepts that I believe have promise, but, I am less ‘lax’ than I used to be when it comes to fundamentals, be it financial or operative.
Do you believe there is a ‘winning formula for becoming a ‘successful entrepreneur’? If so, what is yours?
I think there are many paths that lead to success, and it depends entirely on what success looks like for each of us. In my case, I’ve learned the hard way. Sound ideas and concrete results will lead to sustainable and value creating businesses. Raise capital only when you need it, shy away from debt until your company can afford it and trust your instincts.
Top 3 mobile apps, websites that make your work and life more effective?
Whatsapp, ical, gmail.
What is the best advice you have received, and that you still follow?
Trust your gut.
What do you value most about being an EYES member?
EYES = support. It’s a lonely world for entrepreneurs who are seen as a little crazy by most. If you’re in a leadership position, it’s even more lonely. Getting together with a group of people who have felt the same hurt, loneliness, and hurdles is comforting and refreshing.
